Fun, social and challenging arts-based programming for children, teens and adults. ALL SKILLS, ABILITIES and CHALLENGES WELCOME. Through music, art, theater and movement, our students build valuable functional and arts skills and form meaningful relationships.

We serve people who are developing typically as well as those with developmental delays, developmental disabilities, autism, ADHD, social and emotional challenges,  TBI from illness or injury, Alzheimer’s and dementia, and those going through difficult life transitions and more.

Individual Music Lessons

Learn to sing, play an instrument, write and record songs with a personalized approach

Music Lessons Description: Students will learn how to play a variety of musical instruments using a personalized approach. They will learn basic music skills including rhythm, melody and harmony as well as music theory. The goal is for them to make playing music a meaningful part of their lives both individually and with others. Social music making opportunities will be explored when they are ready and interested.

Experience the joys of creating art while exploring a variety of art mediums with a personalized approach.

Art Lessons Description: Students will explore a variety of mediums as they learn to express themselves through art. They will explore painting, drawing and collage. They will increase their skills in using art materials and in understanding how color, shape and image express different ideas, thoughts and emotions. Projects will include 2 and 3 dimensional work.

FEES: $60/30 mins, $85/45 mins, $120/60 mins

Through play, learn new ways to manage anger, anxiety, focus/attention, emotional regulation, social and behavioral challenges, sleep, school issues, loss/grief, and more.​ Some insurance can be used under behavioral health benefits as an out of network provider. Please call to discuss.

COACHING

Parent Coaching

Many challenges children face can be most effectively addressed through helping the parent(s). Work on a variety of issues from regulation, focus, behavior and anxiety/anger. Can be done virtually by video chat in evening or when your children are at school or in-person.

Music Appreciation and Small Talk:

Let’s listen and learn about music! This course will review interesting and important music in a wide variety of genres including rock, jazz, classical, Latin music and more. And then we will discuss our thoughts and feelings about the music. This is a great opportunity to both learn about different music and make friends.

10:45am-12noon 3D Art with Legos Sculpture Class:

It’s time for some 3D art using Legos. Participants will create their own works as well as learn to make art together. We have lot’s of Legos in stock!

12:45-2pm Acting 101:

Learn the art of acting in this dynamic class. Whether you want to act publicly or not, you’ll learn great skills in how to present yourself in different circumstances and in different roles. Participants will have fun acting in scenes with each other.

Participants will learn to make a movie! They will learn about the many roles involved in movie making and participate actively throughout. They will build teamwork skills as well as the ability to use their cellphones to make their own movies.

Chase the winter blues away with some early morning movement to music! Participants will stretch and explore their bodies through fun physical activities to a beat. Great way to start the day and keep fit during the winter months.

10:45-12noon Open Art Studio 2.0

Get your art on in our ever-popular open art studio but with a twist. Classes will begin with short lessons in anime, origami, still life drawing and mandalas followed by “free art making” time where participants can choose their materials.

Goals: Art skills, free expression and constructive feedback

12:45-2pm DJ/Beat-making Class:

Get down with some beat making and DJ skills in this exciting class! Participants will learn how to make electronic beats and to use DJ equipment. They will put on their own dance party at the end of the class.

Learn how to take digital photos and how to turn your photos into art. Participants will build their expressive skills as they learn to tell a story through their camera. Participants will use their cell phone or digital cameras to take photos at home and turn them into art.

10:45-12noon MFL Chorus:

It’s time for some group singing in this always popular class. Participants will learn to sing a variety songs from many different styles of music. They will learn fun song formats including unison, call and response and more.

Goals: Singing skills, self expression and cooperation

12:45-2pm More Games and Small Talk:

We had so much fun in this class over the summer that we’re offering it again with ALL NEW GAMES! Learn great games while making friends. The session  will culminate in the class making their own game!

Participants will learn all about playing music with their friends in duos, trios and more. They will learn how to choose, learn and write songs. They will learn how to set up and use sound equipment and prepare for a performance/recording session. And above all, they will have fun playing music with each other!
